Flock: A Really new Browser

9 12 2005

Flock is a free, open source web browser.

What’s the idea behind Flock?

We believe that it should be easy for everyone to contribute to and participate on the web.To that end, we’ve started with integrating tools that make it easier to blog, publish your photos and share and discover things that areinteresting to you.

The above is from the Flock.com website.

I’m publishing this from Flock. If you have a Delicious account and/or a Flickr account and/or a blog of your own, you can handle any or all of them through Flock. It is set up to centralize all of the interaction you have with the web. I really like that idea and think it is the biggest improvement in browsers since Firefox came along.

I should say that this is listed as being only for developers right now and is a little less than perfect. You might not want to use it for your main browser but, if you’re a little bit techy, you could find it fun to play with.
